Law Degree


1. LLB ( Bachelor of Law ) : LLB is a three-year Bachelor of Law degree that is offered to aspirants by many renowned colleges in India. However, candidates can pursue this law course only if they possess a graduation degree. The three-year LLB course offered at all law colleges of India is regulated and closely supervised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The three-year law course is structured in such a way that the curriculum is divided into six semesters. Candidates are awarded the degree only when they complete all the semesters of this three-year LLB course. As part of an LLB degree offered at most popular law colleges in India, candidates need to take part in regular theory classes, moot courts, internships as well as tutorial work.
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) from recognized university.


2. LLM (Master of law ) : LLM is a postgraduate degree in law. Master of Law or LLM course offered at Indian colleges/ universities is of two years duration. The course curriculum of LLM degree is structured in such a way that the law course is divided into four semesters. In Master of Law, course aspirants gain in-depth knowledge of a specific field of law by intensive research in that particular area of Law. In the LLM course, candidates need to select the law specialisation in which they want to make their future. Thus, candidates can pursue their LLM degree in specialisations such as – Civil Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, International Law, Labour Law, Real Estate Law, Patent Law, Competition Law, Intellectual Property Law, Mergers and Acquisition Law, Tax Law, Administrative Law, Banking Law, Business Law, Company Law, Constitutional Law, Consumer Law, Contract Law, Cyber Law, Education Law, Energy Law, Entertainment & Media Law, Environment Law, Family Law, Healthcare Law, Telecommunications Law etc.

3. BA-LLB (Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Legislative Law) : BALLB is a five-year integrated LLB course that candidates are eligible to pursue after completing Class 12. The Law course is an amalgamation of Humanities and Law streams, which allows candidates to study subjects such as History, Sociology, Administrative Law, Criminology, Family Law and so on.

Eligibility : 10+ 2 from recognized board.


4. BCOM-LLB (Bachelor of Commerce - Bachelor of Legislative Law) : BCom LLB is a professional law programme which is of five years duration. Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BCom LLB) is an integrated course wherein aspirants are taught both commerce and law subjects. Some Commerce subjects that aspirants study as part of BCom LLB course are Business Statistics, Business Communication, Auditing, Economics, etc. Apart from these candidates are also taught law subjects which include Law of Contract, Consumer Protection Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes, Legal Language, Interpretation of Statutes, Constitutional Law and the likes. BCom LLB course comprises of 10 semesters and candidates need to clear all the papers in eight years which is the maximum duration to complete this law course. As part of an integrated BCom LLB course, aspirants are taught various topics by means of classroom teaching, case studies and moot courts.

5. BBA-LLB : (Bachelor of Business Administration & Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) is a five-year course on completion of which the aspirants are offered a professional degree. BBA LLB is an integrated law course wherein aspirants are taught subjects related to Business Administration as well as Law. As part of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) LLB course aspirants are first taught Commerce subjects such as Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Computer Applications, Effective Communication, etc. Thereafter, aspirants are taught law subjects such as Law of Torts, Family Law, Constitutional Law, Property Law, Company Law, Administrative Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, and the likes. The maximum duration within which an aspirant must complete their BBA LLB course is eight years. As part of an integrated BBA LLB course, aspirants are taught various topics by means of classroom teaching, case studies and moot courts
